How do I clean and take apart the carburetor of my little tiller?

My tiller wouldn't start last year. A similar problem with my mower turned out to be the caburetor (sp?)...so I suspect it sat too long with old gas/oil mixture..... I am not very strong and thought it was just my inability to pull the cord but now am suspicious. My garden equipment has been a challenge and I suspect I will have alot of questions regarding the upkeep, repair and general maintenance. My tiller is a mantis tiller, gasoline/oil mixture is used.

Empty the fuel tank and add a new mix with fresh bought fuel. Make sure the mix is correct. (50-1). Clean and check spark plug gap. Clean air filter.

At the end of the year try to run all the gas out of it or put a fuel stabilizer in fuel ...oh thats right its a fuel oil mixture .
you can find a carberator cleaner at your local parts store that you can soak carb in after you disasemble it ....I have been lucky with some of the carbs here and have even reused the gaskets if you are carefull taking them apart ....can use a small wire or even a fishing line to clean out ports on the carb
blow dry and reasemble .......good luck some of the rebuild kits you get for some of these carbs are hight priced
