ford ka top mount ?

My ka failed its mot on near side top mount,so i changed it for a new one and it failed again.
The mot tester said the new part could be upside down.Its not upside down and everything is tightened up correctly but there is still play in the strut at the top.
What's going on ?

Ka front top mounts must have a small amount of play even if the mounts are okay. Mine were changed by Ford under warranty and they still have slight play when jacked up. It did get noted on the mot but was not failed. I cant fix something that isn't broken so it keeps coming up at every mot.
