Gwl11 Bowl gurgling?

With bowl out of machine it gurgles when tipped to the side, as if there is water in it's interior compartments. Is this normal?

Yes. It is put there during manufacture to help balance the drum when spinning. DO NOT empty it out or you will have out of balance problems.
