kenwood steam generator iron model kbs-11b?

my steam generator iron is showing the on standby symbol all the time so I cant get it to work

I bought this steam generator from argos and only used it for 2 months, Since then it has been stored away. Now when i switch it on the light flashes but nothing else, It doesnt get hot . Does anyone know where I can find the instruction manual for this.

how much garantee do we get with these irons please mine has all of a sudden stopped working its getting hot but the settings button wont work

I have exactly the same problem. Do they manufacture these things so that they are programmed to break down just after the guarantee runs out!!!

If the Standby symbol is flashing constant and no steam from iron, then i have to say it is the heater element inside the main unit *converter*
i too have been trying to find a replacement for mine.
looks like it bin it time.
always *UN_PLUG* from mains.
