Compaq TFT XGA screen?

I have just got a new compaq notebook with a tft screen my son touched the screen with his fingers and left markson the screen, as is didnt come with any cleaning details i was wondering how to clean it I dont want to use the wrong thing

The rule for cleaning electronics is normally

A) TURN OFF THE APPLIANCE AND UNPLUG IT!!!
B) Clean with a very slighty damp cloth. Normally okay to use very dilute mild detergent. Void any abrasive cleaning products and hard cloths.
