candy washing machine wont spin?

going thr all cycle draining etc but drum does'nt move. please help anyone?

I had this problem a few years ago with my Candy and when I called an engineer it turned out that I'd accidently pushed the rinse hold button in which stopped it from spinning. Its a long shot but its worth checking thats not whats happened. Luckily I didnt get charged for the callout as the engineer took pity on me :0) Goodluck

Sounds likely to be the motor brushes. Ask your local domestic appliance spares distributor as they will confirm whether it has them & will be able to supply new ones. Normally quite easy to change but clean the commutator (the part that the brushes touch on the armature) with switch cleaner (or similar) & allow to dry before fitting the new brushes.
