I have a Fischer and Paykel ED56 Dryer and lately it has had trouble spinning the drum.
If i spin the drum by hand and then shut the door it will often start spinning.
The drum belt tension seems to be ok but the bracket on one of the pulley tensioners has broken at the base.
Motor just sounds like it struggles to spin the drum on startup but once its moving it works fine.
Any ideas?? Bearing?? Motor Capacitor??

The capacitor fitted to the motor does in fact give the motor a starting pulse - its worth a gamble replacing it.
