I have a bell Vista 100 phone. I also subscribe to call answer. During our recent move, some how the number of rings before going over to call answer reduced to 4 rings from 8. How do I get it back to 8 rings so I have time to get to the phone before it clicks over?

How can I change the number of rings before Call Answer takes a message?


Call Answer is programmed to take messages after three rings, but you can choose any number between 0 and 9 rings. (*If you choose 0, you'll only hear a half ring before a call is transferred to your answering machine.)

To set the number of rings, press *94. When you hear a staggered dial tone, enter the desired number of rings (0 to 9). Then you should hear two beeps, like a busy signal, confirming your choice. Hang up.
