hi i have a hoover washing machine hnf 7147 wen the machine starts the washer wont start its cycle it just fills with water prob more than it needs then the start delay button flashes twice about ever 15 sec plz can you help

Sounds like loose wire to the rear thermostat. Remove the back cover, you will see a small round thing about diameter of 10p piece with either 2 yellow or 2 orange wires. Make sure they are connected properly and check the wires are secure in the plastic connectors by giving them a tug as sometimes they are loose.
