change rear brakes on a renault traffic van?

how to retrack the rear piston to allow for new pads
steve, September 2009
If you re a builder theres a cheat to make it easy.Use the key from a standard angle grinder to turn the piston as it fits the slots perfectly. To push the piston in use a ladder clamp!Take the bar that holds the ladder off.You can then position the wing nut bar across the caliper arms and wind the threaded end of the hook into the center of the caliper to push it while you turn the key.The hook end of the ladder clamp even makes a great handle!! once i'd sussed this set up took me 10 mins per side. Both sides screwed in clockwise (i've seen a couple of people say they are handed but not on my 2011 traffic) and I didnt need to crack the bleed valve.

Good luck.

They have to be wound back in and they are handed. Not easy to without the propper tool.
