hotpoint twin tub wont empty?

twin tub doesnt empty because the wash water isnt ciculating through the hose system .... what is causing the problem and how do you fix it ............ just picked the m/c up and testing it !!

wash pump faulty. check belt from wash motor is correctly positioned against the wash pump pulley. if ok the impeller inside the wash pump may have become detached from the wash pump drive pulley
