hi same prob happened yesteday. erm i took off the cambelt cover which looks like it covers the cambelt to stop thigs getting in it but ther were bits of fan belt inside the teath of the cam belt which i suspect may have nocked the timing off im having probs getting the bolt of the bottom pully to cheak the timing marks. also iv got a buzzing coming from my fule/injector pump when ignition is on? its likely to be the same ishue but i hope not as it means some or all new valves and a lot of work stripping the head exetera. prob cheaper to do it yourself if your up 2 it . check timing marks first it may not have damehed any valves and just needs re setting if your lucky hope this helps soz if abit rambly lol

some parts of the broked belt may have been caught in the cam belt knocking it out of place and causing engine damage ( ie. bent valves etc.) very expensive to repair.

OK, check all wires and connectors in and around the belt area, something has probably been hit by the broken belt.
I dont know that engine so cant be more specific, but I dont think you have a major problem.

What year, is it petrol or diesel?
Do you mean the auxiliary belt (drives alternator, power steering etc.) or the timing belt (drives camshafts)?
What happens when you try to start it?
Nothing?
Dash lights up but engine wont turn?
