renault megane v reg can get my car to start its trying but the immobileser i dont think is letting it turn over

I've got the same problem with my clio, starts sometimes and not others, my mechanic told me to press the key fob twice once i am sitting in the car, and it seems to work. Really frustrating, i have taken the car to the garage and everytime it starts for them so don't know where to look for problem, they think its the immobliser. Hope this helps
