My Zanussi cooker over heats?

I have a Zanussi cooker, the large fan oven justs raises in temperature at any setting. Is there a thermostat somewhere that needs replacing?

My Electrolux Insight oven is exactly the same. The knobs are almost ilegible now too. I think it may not be the thermostat but a controller or carbon ring - am looking into it at the moment - will answer when I get mine fixed
