Underwire of bra stuck in drum?

How do i get the underwire of a bra out of a Bosch EXXCEL which is caught in the drum and causing holes in all of my clothes

Gerry has obviously come up with a much more sensible answer...cross posting....

I had this problem years ago with a really old washing machine...If you feel around the inside of the drum (carefully -don't gourge your fingers) with luck you will be able to feel it poking out -if not keep rotating the drum till you find it or keep trying after every load of washing - if it is making holes in your clothes it must poke out sometimes...once you get the end you can simply pull it out if necessary with pliers...
If this doesn't work - I'm pretty sure it will be a biggish job to get fixed...in my experience (mainly a washer/dryer though) just getting to the drum and case will involve removing all kinds of other parts too but I could be wrong - I'd be tempted to take the cover off and have a look - and it might be worth giving someone a call to see how much they'd charge...(tell them you have already tried pulling it out...)

Hi George,

You will need to remove the front panel of the machine by taking out the screws at the bottom behind the kick/filter housing panel. When you have removed the front you will need to remove the heater unit on the front of the drum. This is held by a single 10mm nut--loosen nut until it is almost at the end of the thread and push the bolt inwards and the heater will come loose.Once you have removed the heater then get an old wire clothes hanger to fashion up a hook and then go fishing in the hole that the heater came out of. I have done this on many occasions with these machines. With a bit of pacience you will get the bra stiffener out--good luck!
