The easiest thing to do is an Initial Clear:
1) Turn the keyswitch to the 'P' position. You need a program key, with a 'P' stamped on it, or a service key, with a 'C' stamped on it, to do this.
2) Unplug the register, wait 10 seconds.
3) While holding down the SUBTOTAL key, plug the register back in. Release the SUBTOTAL key.
If you do this correctly, "Initial Clear' will print on the receipt printer. You will need to sign on a clerk again after performing this procedure.
