whats wrong with my golf mk 3 indicators?

i have a golf mk3 that i bought recently. when i got it the bloke said a fuse had gone so the indicators wont work. the hazards make them work fine, but for some reason the indicators wont. could you please tell me why and also how to fix it.

If the hazzards are working it won't be a fuse it will be the indicator switch
