Where are the timing gear marks that line up with crankshaft gear?

I replaced a bent crankshaft on a John Deere JS25 mower. The engine is not running properly, it only gets up to running rpms when i take the air filter off.
I did not alling the crank shaft gear with any marks on the timing gear because I didn't know this was necessary. Where are the marks that I am looking for?

On the crankshaft and camshaft gears you'll see the timing marks which could be dots (.) or circles (o) or arrows (> )
