cooker connection on brand new cooker?

there is a connection block onthe back of the neighbours new cooker will I have to solder or crimp spade connector to the cable coming from his cookerbox on the wall to connect it to the cooker

Normally the cooker terminals are ordinary screws, that you trap the incoming cable beneath, or wrap it around the terminals. Be neat, and expose only the minimum of bare cable. Make sure you use the cable grip too.
