corsa 1.3 cdti wont start??

bought the car filled with unleaded petrol, drained the tank fuel lines and rail filled with diesel after and still wont start, vauxhall say the fuel pump is lubricated by the diesel but... when u crack the nut from the injector it sprays out everywhere when cranking, it tries to start on easy start and also on tow in 2nd gear around 30mph real head ache!!!! done diagnostics check deleted old faults and only one the only one that wont dissapear is cam sensor, sounds daft but i havnt replaced it as yet as thought it would trigger the cam sensor if not starting? would the car still run with the cam sensor fault??? help please!

Would be interested to know how you cured this fault. Fuel pressure regulator seized maybe?

You need to get a fuel pressure gauge on it. Just because there is diesel coming out of the line doesn't necessarily mean it is at high enough pressure.

the fault will show up if the timing is incorrect but if it was running befor u put in petrol i do not think the timing would go out u could be just unlucky and the sensor has gone faulty . there is a seal on the end of the fuel rail at the sensor which if broken will stop it starting.also if the battery has gone flat it can put fault codes on and stop it starting and the starter can spin over fast put takes to much power and stopes it starting - new starter required.
