Automatic Zafira 04 (1.8)?

I have just bought an automatic zafira - I am not used to driving automatics and am concerned about how noisy it is! At 40mph it is very noisy. almost like it is the wrong gear and over 60mph can feel a vibrating sensations (not tracking/steering issue!) Any advice?
