citreon xantia diesel turbo i parked the car up after continous driving for over an hour untill the next day
then tried to start car engine turned over but the engine would not engage
thank you for your imput .John but the injector pump seems ok . There is a security alarm fitted to the vehicle , could this be the cause and if so how do .I disconect it ; bearing in mind it appears to be working

More than likely its the fuel shut off solenoid that has failed - a single wire connection device sitting on top of the injector pump.
