is this a common problem and would it cost much to fix?

Hi mate, listen work in an Iveco dealer and it sounds like its got an injector problem! The fuel bypasses the injector thus losing fuel pressure to your common rail....hope that helps!

The engine isn't spinning over quick enough, either due to a battery thats knackered, a starter motor thats likewise or the heavy duty cables have corroded ends. If the motor doesn't crank over at all then its the starter solenoid at fault, on top of the starter itself.
