put £12 worth of petrol in my diesel car?

Have not yet started engine can i fill up remainder of tank with diesel and drive away.

drain the tank get some diesel addative red x or something simular fill the tank on the car put half the bottle of addative in to tank then run down motorway at 3500 rpm this will clear any petrol in the lines and water it to diesel

Not neccessarily. Diesel is heavier fuel so a small amount in a not quite empty tank that is topped up with more diesel will probably just make your car go faster

no. these engines are very sensitive to fuel changes and expensive damage would be caused by doing this. years ago on mechanical diesel engines you probably could get away with this. with these new engines, fuel pump and injectors and engine itself are more susceptible to anything other than diesel. you need to drain tank. to save a lot of expense. (injectors are £1000 for 4).
