I have a renault scenic 53. The dash is not working at all. How do I take it out?

I have a 53 plate renault scenic which the dashboard display has today gone completely blank!! just wondering what you have decided to do about yours, renault apparently know about this well known fault! are you sending yours away to a company from the internet. renault charge £600 apparently to repair.
