Try reading through for answers before posting. This is not a unique problem in fact it is a very common one on all trypes of dryers.
Your problem will be due to either a thermostat which has broken down or the heater element has shorted either one of the element springs is broken or a wire has come away from the supply.
I would bet it is the thermostat. Firstly never open and shut the door during a cycle always shut the dryer off first. Cold air rushing into the dryer will destroy the thermostat. Always make sure the dryer is regularly cleaned inside despite there being a fluff screen fluff can still build up in machine which could also be a fire hazard.
Unless i have the full make of machine i cannot help anyfurther.
