i had a mk2 and the window winders are removed by removing the centere cap of the winder then unscrewing it.But if you car is from 93 is a mk3,mk2 stopped being made in 1990 am afraid :'(

not sure and would not swear to it but I believe that there is a retaining clip at the end of the winder i think that you have to push the cover back towards the door to see it soory best I can do hope it helps
