Hi Guys

My dishwasher stopped working.

It was cleaning fine but my mother in law did notice a burning smell at the weekend (which I couldn't smell).
On thursday I set it to wash on my way out, not taking enough notice I left a tea towel stuck in the side of the door. I got a call from my dad who had found the machine leaking water all over the floor. When I came back the dishes were fairly clean but the maching was quite noisy, sounded like it was trying to take in water, but no water was coming out. Also no lights are working on the front of the machine. I haven't touched it since thursday until just now and when I turn it on it is still making the same loud noise (well quite loud for this normally quiet machine) but no water is coming in.

Do I need a new dishwasher? This one is not that old 2-3 years

you have activated the anti flood in the base, you need to empty the water out off the base, pull machine out and tip backwards, once the water is out, it would be a good idea to get the insulation checked, due the electric components sitting in water, other wise, put a portable rcd on b4 you plug it in and run it thro a cycle. it should be okay
