i also have a kenwood kdw12st32a dishwasher and it keeps asking for salt?

my dishwasher keeps asking for salt have tipped a great bag full in but is still asking for salt does anyone know what this means

Where are you actually putting the salt?

There's usually a big screw top on the salt reservoir (inside at the bottom) and you put the salt in there - I top mine up perhaps once a month or so depending on use.
