i have a vaccum leak and cannot locate it any ideas? ?

the problem is when the vanis in park it idles weird it fluxuates then it dies also when your stoped at a stop light it does the same thing , its a 01 winstar

I take it this van is fitted with a petrol engine if so are you sure it's a vacum leak and not the anti-stall valve most modern petrol engines are fitted with a similar device which is electronically controled by the ecu these do occasionally seize up if you still think it's the vacum system on the intake somewhere between the throttle body and the engine there will be a small bore Approx 3mm rubber pipe pull this off and block the the pipe you just removed it from with your finger then have someone start the engine if problem still there it's not vacum hope this helps
