Wash cycle finish light flashes 5 times in sequence then starts again - please advise the meaning of this error code

History
Machine started running immediately door was closed before any programme selected

filled with water and main was motor runs and circulates water

Water is not heated and detergent door has not opened

Machine will continue to circuluate water until turned off

If reset used then the sequence above merely restarts

Spare programmer installed - no effect.

water in the base.5 flashes is a circulation pump related fault.this could be the leak as well?
