Golf Diesel Sump Removal?

How do I remove the sump from a 1993 VW Golf Diesel 1900cc non turbo. All the bolts have been removed and the sump is loos and has dropped down about 20mm, it appears to be stuck on the oil pump which is located in the sump.

Hi Steve
Simple answer prise off the gasket seal stuck to the sump this will allow sump to drop leaving the gasket in situ.
