renault scenic 1.9dti faulty immobiliser ?

Hi ppl< i own a t reg scenic with a immobiliser problem.
i have heard you can fit a dongle to bypass the immobiliser! does this work.....and where can i get hold of one?
Could the problem be the crankshaft sensor as it is only a starting problem?

Hi, yes the car locks and unlocks perfect, the engine has no fault codes. when i try to start the car the immobiliser light does flash when i try to turn the engine over.
thankyou for your time

Is the immo light flashing when you try to start it? Any other warning lights on?
Is the car locking/unlocking with the remote?
Try here for your immo bypass code if you dont already have it. This is a temporary fix only, it has to be re-entered if the engine is off for more than ten minutes. Look in your handbook for entry instructions for your car, it seems to vary between models.
