i have a lawn boy silver series 4 cycle 6.5 hp tecumseh that wont start?

i have a lawn boy silver series 4 cycle 6.5 hp tecumseh that wont start. I replaced the filter, the pull starter and the spark plug. It does not seem to be getting any fire when I try to start it. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated

Mine did the same thing, although mine is the 2 cycle version. It was the coil which was bad. The coil has two fields, one which operates at low rpm (like starting) and the main one which keeps it going once started.
Replaced the coil, one pull start again.

The first question i have is have you confirmed the spark plug is actually sparking? Check this by taking out the plug and ground it out on something metal nearby.Pull the starter and observe if the plug is arking! Next are you sure there is gas getting into the carberator? Is there a primer? Is that working or just pumping air? If all that is working right the Carb is probably plugged up and you might have to rebuild it or replace the carb, but the engine should be fine!
