I have a BT synergy 4500 phone with answering machine combined. When the phone rings and you pick up the phone on the main base it rings continuous and then you cannot speak to the caller. When it clears itself the answer machine flashes C but the date and time are fixed. If you answer with the phone from the other base it does not happen
