how can i fix central locking on transit?

my remote fob doesnt unlock or lock transit anymore put new battery in then tried reprograming it by turning key 8 times but it still doesnt work,the central locking works ok with key could it be fob is broke or something else

you need to turn key in ignition on/off 4 times until you hear a noise on dash once heard press the button on fob and that should be programmed in if that dosen't work its possible that fob is u/s.
