Mercedes C180k Misfiring?

My car today started to misfire only when stationery. The engine management light is now on. It seems to be struggling under 10,000 revs when stopped, when I rev to over 10,000 revs it stops misfiring. Is this a cylinder problem or just a timing issue? Could it be my ECU?

If the car has done around 90,000 miles it may need the cam chain replacing as they stretch. Don't wait for it to conk out altogether as you will nak the engine/car.

hi lisa,i hope you mean 1000 revs .Firstly on top of each spark plug you will find a black rubber tube which joins the coil pack to the spark plug, these can loosen or fail so check them first.failing this check spark plugs themselves for condition. If you can negate these two the m a f is usually a weak spot.good luck
