how can i fix inner handle of cr01?

my inner door handle of dyson washing machine cr01 has broken and have received new one but do not know how to fix it.

1've just spent an hour, in the end I took the door of held down the metal clip and using brute force hit it, bingo door handle now on, put door back onto machine, all working great
