put petrol into a diesil mercedes ?

hi ya
ive just had my car back from the garage as ive put petrol in to the diesil tank but it has trouble still starting when left for a while after stopping
please advise

You dont say which Mercedes you Have, Did you run the Engine with the Petrol in the system if so how long for/.

Sounds like a leak in the fuel system allowing air in. Check for leaks around the fuel filter and any other areas the garage would have worked on
