Hi Nick
Carburettor cleaning is only really successful when you use compressed air and an aerosol carb cleaner - but yours is still flooding? Therefore, either there is still some dirt in there, causing the needle valve to be off its seat a little, or the float isn't rising fully enough to actually cut off the fuel supply - most unlikely unless its been damaged or punctured! Just a thought though, its always best to mark the position of the round float chamber before you take it off - some have a depression in the steel to allow the float to operate properly.
