What was up with my 307 56 reg???

My car broke down 5minutes after passing it's mot! The brakes ceased up and there was smoke coming from the engine, before braking down the car felt like I was driving with the hand brake up. It's in the garage at the mo but they can't work out what caused the problem.

Theres more than a brake problem here...my guess is that your car has lost its coolant - hence the smoke from the engine and that tightening feeling.
