Lexmark X3480 how do I fix it?

The screen reads cover open. However Cover is not. How do I fix this problem.

I don't know this printer but there will probably be a sensing device to tell if the cover is closed - vey likely a small microswitch - it may have moved - find the switch and adjust it.
