Baxi 105HE CH & HW problem. please assist?

The boiler will sometimes fire up for c/h and h/w but not all the time. No flashing fault lights. Have tried resetting numerous times to no avail, tried leaving it overnight but it is exactly the same. Pressure seems correct, no leaks and radiators working fine, no air in system.

Just looked it up. I have a digital timer and of course the one on the boiler itself. Both are working fine, they are asking the boiler to fire up but it doesn't all the time. As we speak the boiler has decided it will fire up as the digital timer was already set to 'fire up' and has been since 08:30.

I hope this sheds more light on the problem.

What is a new programmer? How easy are they to install? I have no experience of working on boilers, so any details would need to be in idiot form.

Thanks
