1999 clio key fob ?

hi i have just changed the batterys in my key fob, can anyone tell me how to get it to working with my car. the button in the car locks and unlocks the car fine but a just cant get the key fob to lock or unlock since i changed the batterys. please hellp me out anyone am really sick of it.
