Black smoke and low power?

Fiat 1.3jtd 2004 Diesel. Diagnostics reports chamber 4 asks for more fuel, once received engine cuts out. Have swaped injectors, valve timing checked, all sensors checked, fuel pressure ok,
Anybody have any clues as to what could be wrong?

sounds like something on air intake is it clear,have you checked air filter also make sure turbo hoses are not collapsing under load if intercooler fitted- is it clear,is turbo ok,also check exhaust silencer/pipe work to make sure there are no blockages.

have you checked your cylinder compression? could be faulty piston rings
