I do not know about this particular model. They are usually accessed from a removable panel under the computer. You would invalidate any warranty if you still have one. They are not easy to do as you would have to re-install all drivers and the operating system, then put all the software updates on (about 3 hours on broadband) and then any applications. I would not worry about losing any information on the old hard drive because I would recommend buying a "laptop hard drive case" (search on Ebay for one at
