DW944 chuck removal?

how do i remove the chuck from a keyless DW944? looks like a "star" bolt in the throat but i can't get it to turn. is it left or right handed threads?

This is a torx screw. I used a T20. It is reverse threaded so you have to turn it clockwise to remove it.
