knocking comming from engine?

i have a 1.1 saxo s reg .when i change gear i can hear a knock comming from the engine is it the gearbox or engine mounts causing it to knock or is it something else .

hold on there trev, big ends? you sure?

you cant diagnose that so quickly.
knock while changing gear, not when he's reving up
more than likely an engine mount.

take it to a local garage before you take out the engine
