omega steering lock?

the steering wheel lock on my 2001 vauxhall omega sometimes wont unlock takes many attempts key seems ok what is causing this and how can i fix it thanks

Go to a locksmith and get some proper lock oil to put on it.
Dont spray WD40 on it, that stuff will make it worse.
