My home cordless phone has for some reason all of a sudden decided to just sit there flashing "base 1" at me and bleeping quite loudly every half hour or so. I've tried go into the settings and registering the base 1 but it wont let me i've also tried selecting base 1 in the menu thing but still it does not work. I've checked the phone line is all plugged in and unbroken and its fine. People ring my house phone and they say it rings but i get nothing not even a bleep inside the house so from their point of view it looks like im just not picking the phone up, which makes me think its a problem inside the house.

The phone is a BT Studio 3100 twin digital cordless phone.
